# How do I renew my certification?

Here is how to maintain or renew your certification.

1. Keep your certification current by obtaining 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within the three-year certification period.
2. Process your [Certification Renewal Online](https://store.swana.org/CertRenewal) or complete and submit the [Certification Renewal Application](https://swana.org/docs/default-source/training-certification/recertification_application.pdf?sfvrsn=95da6366_6) with the $250 fee to [certification@swana.org](mailto:certification@swana.org) or fax 301-585-0297.

Alternatively, you can [retake the certification exam](https://info.captus.com/examregistration/swana/) and pass it with a 70% or more to renew your certification period.
